Some time back, Golf Electronics started to develop a more systematic and hassle free approach in converting wire based Human Interface Devices (HID) to wireless applications and at the same time connecting several wireless USB products to the PC via one dongle.

No more hassles and problems with connections and wires. Just plug in the dongle, connect the HID to charge the battery with the supplied cable to the computer and the HID is paired and ready to use.

The pairing system was made intelligent and automatic, devices communicate and are recognized by the system without the need for any user intervention. There are no interferences with other PC/s in the surrounding area even if they use the same system..

Golf Electronics started an innovative embedded design which currently supports wireless USB HID/s like Keyboards, Mice, Numeric Keypads, Multimedia

Remote Controls, Game Controllers and Pointers with a USB Dongle which can connect to currently limited five devices. Any combination of these wireless HID/s is possible. Additional applications for wireless connectivity of other USB products to support Audio, Video, Printing etc. are forthcoming soon, with Audio applications support forecasted to be available around the end of Q1 2010.

The “Plug and Pair”^™ wireless framework is available to all OEM/s intending to interconnect their wireless USB products with “Plug and Pair”^™ enabled USB dongles. “Plug and Pair”^™ device firmware will be provided free of charge. The “Plug and Pair”^™ USB dongles may be bought separately preprogrammed or may be manufactured by the OEM/s in which case there is a minimal charge for the programming of the dongle.

A new product PCB re-designed for “Plug and Pair”^™ will replace the old PCB assembly and be fitted inside the usual product's plastic enclosure. A rechargeable Li-Ion / Li-Polymer battery is mounted on the PCB. No major changes on the plastic is required. For details please visit:
